Glenn Matsumura Lighting workshop at Orange Photography Studios

In conjuction with Fotovision, we'll be hosting professional photographer Glenn Matsumura's lighting workshop on June 14th at our photography studio.

This class will center on techniques using the small flash and is ideal for those who are working in the field either on assignment or on their own project. Students will try out flash techniques in the neighborhood and the results will be shared and discussed. Topics include:

- Using available light
- Color correction gels
- Flash as main light
- Flash as fill light
- Lighting modifiers for small flash units

Headshots for the jet set

This must be headshot and portrait season as we've had quite a lot of headshots coming through the studio. Today we were shooting for Virgin America airlines and overall the studio has been buzzing lately.

This is how the shoot looked like from my desk as I sorted through to make edits and selects from my shoots over the weekend in LA.

impromptu shoots

Whew! Finally settled in this new space. The awesome new space at Orange, of course. Great high ceilings, raw brick walls, and a fancy buildout makes the new Orange space something that visitors will sure be impressed with!

I'm still getting used to working with a new brand and collaborating with a very talented team. Ironically, the first week of moving in here, I had two HUGE jobs to shoot.
