my first absinthe experience! half a bottle (with no mixer) in one night. -and we ain't talking about the absinthe that you can find in fancy bars in london, here. we're talking about rough stuff which you can find in eastern europe countries.

don't know if the thing i drank that night was the same as the stuff baudelaire & his parisian mates were into but it surely fucked me up.
i remember being back at work, days later, & being still totally out of it. well, it didn't feel like i was but... i was big time. i'd listen to customers & their questions were so clear. i'd be like: whooahooo, this guy speaks clear water! & then, by the time he'd finished, i'd be like: shit, what did he say?

i also met E.T. that nite. i swear! i swear i met him. okay, he wasn't the real E.T. but he looked so much like him.

for most part of the nite, i thought i'd end up having a heart attack. we laughed so much that i remember thinking that my jaws would never get back to their normal position.

music wise, i remember nothing except for a bit of manu chao. especially the end of their set when they played some mano negra songs. i was jumping up & down like a madman.

-when i was in high school, mano negra were the french equivalent to pixies. a band with very short, catchy songs & an incredible energy.
if both bands reformed tomorrow, it'd be a very bright day for many of my high school buddies. alas, as much as i'm sure pixies will, i'm not confident mano negra ever will. manu chao is already so rich.
